La historia de la Burgos Film Commission está estrechamente ligada a las ac­tividades de la Asociación Sad Hill, fundada en 2014 para mantener vivo el recuerdo de la película El bueno, el feo y el malo (1966). La reconstrucción del cementerio de la escena final de este mítico western italiano de Sergio Leone fue, además, acompañada por el acla­mado documental Desenterrando Sad Hill del director Guillermo de Oliveira. Por tanto, la mayor parte de la entrevista con Sergio García gira en torno a esa iniciativa y los impul­sos que dio tanto para el auge del turismo fílmico en la región como para nuevos proyectos audiovisuales que hoy en día pueden contar con el apoyo de la Burgos Film Commission.

The history of the Burgos Film Commission is closely linked to the activities of the Sad Hill Association, founded in 2014 to keep alive the memory of the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). The reconstruction of the cemetery in the final scene of this mythical Italian western by Sergio Leone was, moreover, accompanied by the acclaimed documentary Sad Hill Unearthed by director Guillermo de Oliveira. Therefore, most of the interview with Sergio García focuses on this initiative and the impulses it gave both to the rise of film tourism in the region and to new audiovisual projects that today can count on the support of the Burgos Film Commission.
