Abstract

The present text aims to study the influence of the post-war European narra­tive in the redefinition of the Spanish national project after the end of the dictatorship and in the construction of the hegemonic narrative of democratic Spain. This coincided with the creation of a new and Europeanizing Spanish identity as a result of joining the European Community. However, three decades later many things have changed, but possibly few as transcendent from the emotional point of view as the same consideration of the Transition process in relation to the European narrative of Spain.
